year. If you'd like your ideal date secured, it's never too early to get it booked!

When you're ready, you can either give me a call or send me and email through the form on my Contact Page. I respond in 24 hours or less!


As soon as I receive your booking request, I will get in touch with you and we will start discussing the details of your session. Once I know what type of session you're interested in booking, I will send you a booking proposal and you can choose from there what package you'd like! Once we get that information squared away, you will be emailed a contract, pay a retainer fee of 50% of your sessions cost, and then we'll discuss the fun details from there!

Portrait photoshoots with Ellie Chavez Photography are a couple of things

We will meet at your desired location, set up, and start shooting.  Most portrait shoots will last anywhere between 30-90 minutes, depending on the package that you chose while booking. It's a very relaxed environment while shooting, so while there will definitely be pre-determined ideas for poses and shooting locations, we will also simply do what feels right.

You are more than welcome to bring any props (such as chairs, hats, wagons, flowers, etc.) that you'd like to use during your session. If you want ideas, let me know and I'm more than happy to provide them, or tell you what I already have that we can use during our session together.

Then, no more than a week later, you will receive your photos in a beautiful, customized online gallery!


Once we've signed your contract and your wedding is officially booked with Ellie Chavez Photography, you will be sent a short questionnaire to give me some details about the day-of. Then, if you'd like, we can set up a consultation to discuss any nitty-gritty details you'd like! If you'd like to see any print or photo book examples in person, this is a great time to do that. 

The day of your wedding, I will show up at the agreed upon time and come say hi! On your wedding, I am hands-off in a good way. We'll discuss times to get all of your portraits done beforehand (such as bridal party shots, family photos, bride and groom, etc.) so you know exactly how much time posed photos will take up your day. After that, I'll follow your lead at the reception. If you want to pull me aside for photos, you are more than welcome. But I believe your wedding is to be enjoyed, and I want to let you do that and capture you having the best night of your life.

No more than 10 days after your wedding, I will have your digital gallery ready for you to view and download. If you have ordered prints or a book, those will be expected to be ready for pick up in 6-8 weeks.


Fine Art photo sessions are meant to inspire, and bring a dream, or an imagination to life. That's what I hope to do with your Fine Art session.


There's a good deal more that goes into the beginning stages of a Fine Art session. Most of it depends on what you're wanting the photographs for! These photographs are heavy on story, detail, and concepts. What you want to go into that is totally up to you. It might involve a lot of ideas and brainstorming, and that is what I'm here for. 

Once you've accepted a package and signed a contract, that's when the conceptualizing begins. Before we meet, I will ask for a general idea of what you want. When we come to the meeting, we'll both bring our ideas and go from there. 

Editing and delivery is longer and varies by project. But, since it is very much a hands-on project for both of us, we will continuously stay in contact about the process, and you will always be up to date with what stage your project is in!
